Bad Shed

i have 2 pythons in the same 40 gallon and they have been having good sheds since i got them and then out of no-where they had a bad shed twice. anyone kno how to prevent that???

Are you running an air conditioner now? Dump some water on the substrate when they are getting ready to shed.

I did that when mine had a bad shed and it worked great. I poured water into their dish about a 6 inches from the water and it splashes just enough without stresing the snake out (they don't seem to like to be sprayed!).

I also put a wet wash cloth on the warm side to increase the humidity without soaking the substrate.

I read that spraying the inside of their hide is best.

That works good to. I just dump some water on the substrate around the hide, so I don't have to spray everyday.
