Sorry just noticed that after the lights question,
Fot the most part I guess I do use the crickets as a staple, but along with superworms.
I have some wc's that believe it or not do not go after crickets, KONG, and a few girls DO NOT !
So I began to do things differently, or MY way as far as feeding the bugs and worms.
I NEVER gutload before I feed! I have food available to the crickets and worms at ALL times. Whenever its gone or needs refreshing, it is replenished.
I bed them in (each get a container) of quaker oats oatmeal, that lasts awhile.
Then each morning, I put in a large amount of collards, kale, potato
apple chunks, carrot chunks, fresh picked dandelines/ and greens, alot of outside greens, clover and such... And rose pedals while I have them blooming.
Undernourished or sick, wc's get freshly molted (white soft) superworms only, STUFFED
easier to chew for them.
Thats just an everyday diet, other things such as squash and other veggies are added when available. Especially in the winter.
Thats about it! I'm going BUGGY ! LOL
