Im a proponent of feeding larger meals. He should easily be able to take a small rat weekly. Try moving up size-wise and if the hopper is a mouse, go to rats. Easier to switch now than later.

a hopper is a baby mouse with its eyes just open.thanks for
your feedback.should i go with a small rat so soon? my redtail
is the same size and if i give it a large mouse it regurgs it.

When you are comparing a burm to a boa, it is like comparing apples and oranges. I would give that burm at least a small rat a week. When my little girl was that size, she was eating a small rat every 4-5 days, and still hungry after I fed her. Move your burm up to small rats, and leave your boa on hopper mice.

Exactly! No burm should ever be out-eaten by a ball python. I say that because your burm sounds about the size of my BP and he gets small rats.
