Western hog question

I was wondering if anyone has male hogs that very rarely skip a meal my female eats great but the male he has only ate about 10 times since Iv'e had him a lil over a year he hasn't really lost much weight b/c when he starts to hell eat good a few times then fast again, I was wondering if they all do this or not thank you

I have a few males that do the same thing. It drives me nuts. Especially when I am trying to fatten them up for hybernation. I have learned that when they are feeling finiky, If I offer a small mouse, they will usually take it.
But sometimes not even that works. So, to answer your question. I belive it is somewhat normal. Mine are six years old and have had no health issues as a result.
