What's the deal with dwarf retics? How big do they get? Are they just as attractive, expensive? The only pythons I've had are ball pythons and green tree python, are they easy to care for?

First of all, I'm not new I've been keeping boids for years just not that species.
Secondly, I searched and got very varied answers. Some say they get 12 feet while I've also heard 6 feet. The only prices I could find were for special morphs and such for retics.
Any FRIENDLY, OPEN-MInded help would be appreciated.
The answers varied because the sizes vary.....some have 14ft Jampeas and some have 10ft...same with Kayuadis......Super Dwarfs are claimed to max out around the 6ft mark.
The classifieds are loaded with prices of different sub-species and you can also find more info at Mike's and/or Bob's sites. NERD..Tony..Shaun and others on the classifieds can also help.
LOL there have been MANY threads on the subject. I finally realize why people here give don't give the answers to every single person that asks, hell any form for that matter. I finally get it why so many threads go unanswered. Anyways...thought I'd add to your information that imports have come in gravid at 6ft. Nerd has an adult female that is approaching or has reached 15ft in length. Norm is around 12ft on c.b.b. individuals.

There are a few different locales of "dwarf" retics. But to me, they are generally bland grey, brown, and black. Although there has been some exceptional Jampeas reproduced by Shaun DeBord of Serpentine Dreams currently advertising here in the KS classifieds. I wouldn't mind getting one of these. http://market.kingsnake.com/detail.php?cat=7&de=198604
Generally, any CB boid is rather easy to care for with calm dispositions. It's those wild caughts you have to watch out for. Jampeas generally get around 12 feet. There are a couple other locales of dwarves but are difficult to reproduce. Kayuadi's are the smallest that I have personally seen. Maxing out at an amazing 7 feet. There are very few people working with these and I have only heard of one litter produced last year. It will definitely be a while til these become common. I have also heard of a locale labelled "Super Dwarf" but I have come to think that it is a synonym for the Kayuadi. Don't really know how much smaller than 7 feet a retic can grow into. Hope this helps, and at the moment I would recommend the Jampea, Python reticulatus jampeanus, also the subspecie of the other dwarves.

Kayaudi's can get up to 9ft. There has also been alot of talk about kayaudi's and jampea's being the same animal.
