yes you can, but the real question is, do you want to?
Your burm will need, depending on size, several colossal sized rats instead of just one rabbit. And I dont know if you grow your own, or buy them, but rats will probably end up gettin very expensive for you after awhile. Most people feed rabbits because they are cheaper, and larger too. Ive also heard feeding the rabbits helps to put on girth for your snake. But I think its really mostly a personal option.

The main advantage of feeding rabbits over rats to large burms is the fact that one rabbit has more usable matter then an equal amount of rats. What I mean is that if you take a five pound rabbit and five pounds of rats and then deduct the weight of the fur, skin, and bones from the two, you will end up with more meat from the rabbit then the rats. They are also cheaper when compared to buying six or seven rats at atime. Todd
