First time out in the sun and first bath

chappylestrange Jun 19, 2003 01:26 PM

Gordo had a busy day! It was finally sunny here in Northeast PA today so I figured what better way to celebrate then to take Gordo out and let him enjoy it. I have a little mesh travel cage so I put him in it along with his favorite log and we went out to soak up the rays. We stayed out for about 45 minutes (it's not too hot here today) and I swear I think he was smiling the whole time! Then, when we came inside I thought I'd treat him to a bath in a tupperware container. First, he was stock-still like "hey, what's going on here?!" Then, he got into it and was even splashing around a bit...LOL. I definitely think I'm getting the "addiction". Ahhhh!

Several experts with reptiles believe that one who will swim and exercise like that are less prone to prolapse and injuries as it does strengthen their muscles so much.

OUr dragons that swim are much more active, musclular and healthy than the ones that don't

After I got the herp addiction, I promised myself that I wouldn't get more than one beardie. 8 months later, I have 3 beardies and more are on the way! I'm completely off my rocker.
