Thanks! I'm rather partial to the little guys myself.
Do I see a little BCC influence in that group?
Nope, pure Bci. This isn't a great picture of her, but here's Mom (named Duncan - she was originally sold as a 'he'):

I got her back in 1993 from a friend who was being stationed overseas. However I was with him when he bought her and there is no doubt she is Bci. Back then in this area, Bcc were almost unheard of and you didn't get them for what he paid for her (she was well under $200).
My best friend owns the male that sired this year's litter for me and he is also Bci without a doubt. I was with her when she got him and knew the original seller personally. They're both pure Bci, as are the female that gave birth to the older aberrant boa (same sire) and my male that sired the light colored juvenile with the female pictured here.
Whatever odd genetics the male has going for him, he produces some knockout babies. All of them have excellent color, showing lots of pinks when born and tend to retain it so far as they get older. My best friend's 2002 litter (that the half-sister was produced from) had a bunch of pattern aberrancies including my girl and a partial reverse stripe (those being the most extreme ones). We weren't sure if it was genetics or something else, so we bred him to my female this year as an experimental breeding. Needless to say, we now believe it is genetic because of the number of aberrant offspring - 9 out of 13 have at least a small amount pattern aberrancy, with 4-5 of those 9 showing a more extreme variation from the norm. Needless to say, we're pretty excited and can hardly wait to breed the offspring back to each other and see what is produced.
