Scincus scincus breeding!

Aino Jun 16, 2004 03:18 AM

Hi!

Two days ago my Scincus layed 3 eggs, unfortunately one of them was partially eaten.

The skink layed eggs in a wetbox, which is deep plastic box buried into sand and filled with moist sand. My pair lives in 60*30*30 cm (2*1*1 feet) aquarium with 15 cm (6 inches) of sand. They have two 40 W spolights and UV. The temps on sand surface under the spot light reach temperature of 60 C / 140 F.

Here is the female skink eating a cockroach

Also, my Novoeumeces algeriensis layed 5 eggs yesterday.
