gecko being finicky

Pavel Jun 16, 2004 09:11 AM

Just wondering if anyone has had this problem.

Decided to raise some mealworms since doing so is quite inexpensive and easy. So mixed up some cream of wheat, corn meal, fish flake food [all dry ingredients of course] and allowed some adult beetles do their thing. Young mealworms soon appeared. Unfortunately, Peanut won't eat them. She sniffs them and walks away. She will, however, still eat the ones from the pet store that are raised in 100% bran.

Any constructive suggestions/comments?

Just keep putting the home growns in her cage. One of my females did that for about a month and ended up having eggs. But after a while of putting the worms in she starting eating them again.
