is PVC coated Welded wire safe for building a chameleon cage

i went to the local feed store that s=cells chicken wire and welded wire and they said the PVC coated kind is not safe for animals is this true for reptiles

My understanding is that it is safe. I hope it is since I just built an outdoor basking cage out of it myself.

My guess is that PVC is unsafe for rabbits and other animals that will chew on it.

Maybe you should ask this on the Chameleon forum if you have not already. I think I'll swing over there now to see if you have and if there are any responses.
