My friend bought a Leapart last weekend, he has never kept a reptile in his life. We set everything up properly, however she hasn't been eating this whole week. So to his suprise, this gecko laid 2 eggs today. lets say if they are good, how can we build a home made incubator to hatch these eggs. Thanks, Dave.

Actually, if there's a part of your house that consistently stays warm (about 80 degrees), you don't even need an incubator.

visit this link http://www.albeysreptiles.com/incubate-eggs.htm for future incubations.

as the last post said, if you have a place in the house that is about 80 degrees, you can keep the eggs there.

to build an incubator on the spot, you can use a tupperware container or one of those disposable ziplock containers with a tight lid. you can buy a bag of perlite at home depot or lowes for under $3. mix 1 part perlite to 0.8 part water. fill the container 3/4 of the way and lay your eggs on it. keep the lid on so it stays humid.

then just keep that in a place where it is somewhat warm (if you can't find one, try somewhere around your computer which gives off quite a bit of heat!).

the above is what another poster, Xelda, told me to do. thus far it seems to work.

good luck

The ratio watererlite is by weight (actually mass)....if you have a scale it will work better.
