my beardie is doing this as i talk, i put her down and she runs to the top of the couch not moving, just staring at the world around her. why?

BDs generaly like to perch up high to look out for prey as well as preditors. When outside they also go up high to bask

Both of mine will try to get to the highest spot when they're out of their cages. In addition to the watch for predators and food I think it also makes them feel like they are "King".
