Low Humidity?

dartjwe Jun 16, 2004 07:25 PM

Hi,
I'm pretty new to dart frogs and I have a 20 gallon terrarium with a flase bottom and glass top. I will not get frogs for a while, but I would like to bring up my humidity, which is now at 75%. Once a day, I mist all of the plants. What is the minimum humidity for d. leucomelas, and are there any ways to bring it up? Thanks.

You can raise humidity by covering most of the screen top with plastic wrap or plexi glass. I would have to say the minimum humidity is 75% but 80-100% is preffered. good luck

Your humidity is probably higher than 75% if you have a glass top. It is more than likely your humidity gauge. If your using one of the little plastic analog types,I've never seen them read more than 75%. If you get condensation on the glass, I would bet that your humidity is more like 90-95%.
