Crickets left in at night

I've read that uneaten crickets should not be left in the tank at night.

Could somebody please enlighten me as to why this is & how major an issue it is if they are left in to be eaten next morning?

they can not only disturb your dragons sleep but also can knaw on your dragon at night, so its really not a good idea...
