Paul,

Those are both high quality Harlequins.

I think you're putting too much stock in morphs, though. The problem with simply buying whatever a breeder calls a Harlequin, is that there are also harlequins out there that have very dull colors. Just because a breeder claims to have this or that, don't be fooled into thinking his Harlequins or Tigers or whatever are as nice as the ones that another breeder has. Bottom line, people can call them whatever they want and it means nothing to me until I see the gecko.

As for finding some like that, I just had some really nice baby Harlequins available. The ones Randy posted are adults, so if you're looking for unsexed babies that look just like that, you're not going to find any, as Cresteds change quite drastically until they're about 9 months old. As for buying adults like that, well...good luck.

i see what you mean... i'm just trying to find my way around the world of rhacs... i'm totally new to this and the geckos randy posted were just so stunning... i actually just think they're all beautiful which is why i decided to jump into this genus... i must say though that the dizzying array of morphs are impressive... i've kept ball pythons for awhile now and i am actually in love with "normals" but with cresteds... the variety is really enticing... anyway... do you have any idea when you will be producing more harlequin babies? thanks-paul

The word "morph" in the Crested Gecko world doesn't mean the same thing as it does in the Ball Python world. It's not as simple as ON or OFF like it is with Ball Pythons.

I have harlequins hatching all the time. Not a lot of them, but I produce them consistently. Just email me whenever you're ready.

Thanks,
Anthony

Really I couldn't add much more to what Anthony has already said. Sara and I are really just starting to work with Crested's, so I hope to know much more about them and their inheritable genetics next year.

Though this I can say – Anthony hand picked and paid lots of money for his breeding group. So getting some of his babies is always a quality move (and I don’t just say that because he’s a friend). Our breeding stock is comprised of three sources, and the ones from Anthony are about as good as I could have hoped for and there are more changes ahead as they mature.
