Picky Eater Golden Greek with Peeling Nose

spottyman9 Jun 16, 2004 10:32 PM

I got my tortoise in February, and he seems very happy and healthy. However, in the past week or so I've noticed a few small pieces of skin peeling off his nose. The spot underneath the peeling skin looks normal, so I'm hoping it's just regular shedding. Is this ok, or do I need to do something about it?

He gets a bath every few days and calcium on his lettuce. The only concern I have is his diet - lots of romaine, and an occasional grape, blueberry or pansy is all I can get him to eat. I've tried special grass mixes, beet greens, dandelion greens, and prickly pear, but he won't touch any of it. Any advice for picky eaters?

Thanks!

~Sara
