Serious Help needed..shedding issue

jgika Jun 17, 2004 06:35 AM

I have a baby leo that hatched a few weeks ago. When it hatched I thought it might be blind or severly underdeveloped as its eyes would not open and it was extremely tiny. I realize now since a few more of my eggs have hatched that that the tiny baby I had was probably premature. She seems to be doing alright now. i fed her through a syringe for a few days. now her eyes are open and she eats crickets and waxies, but is still tiny...

Ok so thats the background. Now the problem is shedding. I have tried everything to try and keep her skin moist, with moist hides constant water spraying soaking in warm paper towels using wet q-tips...EVERYTHING! Her sheds which dont look all that normal..almost kind of slimy just do not come off. I need suggestions I would send a pick if I could figure out to attach pictures on this site ( help here would be cool too).

I am sure someone has a trick up their sleeves that might be able to solve this problem once and for all!

Thanks..Jon

What temperature did you incubate it as? That might have an effect. As for the pictures you can simply upload them onto the kingsnake gallery then right click the picture and go into properties, it should say the url. thats how you can post multiple pictures.

Sorry I'm not much help...
