I have 2 cb GTP's I bought in 99 as hatchlings from a reputable breeder...Anyway, he did not probe them (which I am under the impression is a good thing since causes problems & is wrong to do until after 1 year old). I was curious if there is anyway to tell their sexes now without having to put them through the stress of probbing, especially since I never handle them. I keep them in seperate enclosures but would love to find out I have a male/female pair. I spoke with the breeder and he offered to sex them BUT he is not close by, and once again, a car ride would probably put undue stress on them. Just curious if there are any visual clues/differences...ie. tail tappering off, or certain tail length or anything... I would just put them together BUT if they are male/male or female/female it might put stress on them if they are a male/female pair..there is no gaurantee that they'd copulate anyway, right?

None that I know of. I had a male/female pair that both ate very well until put together. Then I sexed the female (turned out to be a male). Apparently the dealer who sold it to me could not tell or just plain lied? All of my chondros are kept separate and they seem happy.
. Shoot me an email if you get a chance.
