Up-date on My Applegate Gopher

A big thank you to those who offered advice concerning my son's new snake. He seems much more at home now and we feel more confident with handling and feeding him. Two days ago he shed his skin - an event we sadly missed as it happened so quickly!! and is now eating for England...lol. I took your advice and bought a temperature probe and the area now stays at a steady 83. Still havent quite conquered the humidity - I bought a bigger waster bowl, one big enough to sit in if he feels the need, and the humitity went sky high to around 65-70. At the moment it reads approx 55.

As soon as I get a photo I will post it for all to see.

Thanks again
Sandy x

My boys were upset when we missed our snake's first shedding too. The shedding process is much quicker than we had expected!
