TWO CAIMAN BETTER THEN ONE????????

jojay327 Jun 17, 2004 12:10 PM

I HAVE A QUESTION, I HAVE A 41/2 FOOT CAIMAN AND AM CURRENTLY BUILDING A CUSTOM ENCLOSURE. THE WATER AREA IS A VISION TUB(76"L 40"W 24"T) I am building a land area around it and was wondering if i got another caiman about the same size would they most likely get along or could I be starting world war three. It is gonna be like a zoo type enclosure so it would be nice to see more then one and there are alot of large caiman out there that are waiting for homes. You guys are the experts and will help to guide me in making the smart decision. One or two, let me know. Thanks a bunch.....Jason

Actually, probally not. Your going to need adequate space for each animal to turn around in, not touch, place to hide, bask, etc seperatelly in order to not have any problems.

THANKS FOR THE REPLY, I FIGURED ABOUT THE SAME. I JUST THOUGHT IF THE ENCLOSURE WAS BIG ENOUGH MAYBE I COULD RESCUE AN OLDER CAIMAN AND FINALLY GIVE IT A PERMANANT HOME. THANKS AGAIN JEREMY FOR THE RESPONSE. JASON
