Kunasir Island Rat pic

alex Jun 17, 2004 12:23 PM

This is a headshot of my nearly 3 yr old male Japanese rat. I got the pair from Adam Block right as he was getting out of colubrids (they were actually his holdbacks). He's developing black pigment around his nose! Anyone else's doing this? I contantly want to wash his face...

Scarily enough, the pair both ate two mice each last night. Normally, they never eat at the same time. They seem to alternate months. I think they screw with my head.

I've got a picture of my female with her clutch of 10 eggs down the forum I posted. I don't have problems with mine feeding...both feed consistently on small rats. Both of mine are very turqouise blue/green, my male is a bit darker, and have a very steally blue belly...it gorgeous. I'm hoping for some stunner babies in a couple of months. Thanks for the picture!
