Poss. to build a clear cage?

Hi,

I HAD my perfect cage and it was broken by the movers, and now I cannot find another. Is it at all possible for a nonexperienced person to build something similiar?

It was 36 inches tall, 24 inches wide and 24 inches deep. It had a screened top and partial sreen side, this is the closest photo I can find:

Most importantly I would like it to hold some water in the bottom(no more than about 3-4 inches deep). It is for my 4 adult White's Tree Frogs.

Thank you very much!
Rebecca

You certainly could build something like this yourself. There are quite a few websites dedicated to building aquaria and I'm sure you could adapt the instructions to your needs. Try a google search. Search "build your own aquarium" or "DIY aquarium", or other such combinations. Do not include the quotes.

If your reason for building it yourself is to save money I would price things very carefully before you go through with it. Saving money by building your own aquaria is not always easy. You can save a lot of money with the large aquaria but then they are a lot harder to build correctly. With smaller aquaria you actually lose money (unless you cut your own glass).

But if your reason for building it is for the pleasure of doing it yourself or you want a special design feature (say a floor drain) then by all means go for it. Since you only need the cage to hold a few inches of water it won't take that much skill.
