How would you know if a veiled chameleon is from the central high plains in Yemen? Would the pet store or breeder know the local? Is anyone breeding these at the moment?
Is anyone breeding the European chameleon (Chamaeleo chamaeleon)?

are you asking how do you know if its a wild caught veiled? if so I do not know of any veileds still being imported. They are all captive bred now as far as I know. anyone else know different?

I doubt anyone would know exactly the locale of a veiled's collection. Even if you found a truely wc veiled (not too common and certainly not sold through a pet shop), I doubt the importer, the exporter, or the dealer would know.
