Ok, this is what I found on the internet for veggies & greens, is all this ok for me to buy & feed to my dragon?
Veggies - There is a huge selection of 'leafy' greens which are high in calcium to feed your Dragon, some of which are... kale, arugula, collard & mustard greens, parsley, dandelion greens & flowers, endives, radish, carrot & turnip tops, escarole and chicory endive. For more of a variety, mixed into the greens may be many other veggies such as squash, corn, peas, carrots (shredded), sweet potato, cucumber, zucchini, green peppers, chard... also chopped fruit such as cantaloupe, apple, blueberries, peaches, pears, grapes, plums, raspberries.
Those are all good. Some better than others. The list veronicag gave you is what a lot of us on this forum use to determine how much of each food to give. She has the foods color coded so you know foods listed in green can be fed daily, foods in black can be switched around for variety every few days, foods in blue can be occasional treats, and foods in red should be avoided all together. I've got her website in my favorites menu and I reference it every time I want to try something new for my beardies.
Personally, I use either collard/mustard/dandelion/turnip greens, endive, or escarole on a daily basis (whichever looks freshest at the store when I buy them). Then throughout the week I will throw in some yellow squash, kiwi, mango, raspberries, bok choy, or green beans for variety. 3-4 times a week I mix in some moistened rep-cal pellets for extra protien and fluids. My beardies LOVE their salads and they are fat and sassy.

Yes, mustards and collards have more nutrients that romaine. There is a huge list of foods on my website. Go to www.beautifuldragons.com and click on Nutrition Content.

Thanks so much, I just downloaded your list. So on a daily veggie feeding what veggies do you add to the greens on a daily basis?
The ones on my list that are in green can be used as a daily staple. A few staples that I use are cactus pads, papaya, and squash. But I also use a lot of apple, green beans, mango, and some carrot.

Cool thanks,
The black colored coded foods would you say feeding them once or twice a week ok? or how often do you feed them the black coded foods?
The way I interpret it is that you can feed the foods listed in black on a fairly regular basis. I usually feed one of them with the staples 4-5 times a week. I think the important thing is to not use too much of one kind. Like if you just pick one of those foods and feed it all the time with the salads, it may be too much of one thing and imbalance the diet. But if you switch them around regularly it adds a lot of variety to the food.
That's how I interpret it, hopefully Veronica can clarify on it as well, since she wrote it.
