I have some four inch flex watt heat tape I am thinking about using to heat two multiunit melamine/wood cages with. The back of both cages are partially perforated pegboard type material. It appears to be a bit thicker than the pegboard I typically see in Home Depot or Lowes. The backs of the units are not as thick as the rest of the cages though. If I run the tape down the back side of each unit down the perforated material, will it provide sufficient temps to heat one side of the cages to about 85 degrees if the cages are inside a house kept around mid to low seventies? I would have the tape on a dimmer/rheostate, so not worried about overheating. I can run two strips side by side down each side if need be.

Thanks
