Copperhead Feeding? Please help.

SlipKorn Jun 17, 2004 09:23 PM

I've been keeping Copperheads for a few years and I have never had a problem getting them to feed for me. I caught a pair about a month ago(1 male 1 female). I have not had any luck with feeding them yet. I have tried live and dead mice but no luck with anything yet. Does anyone have any tips on getting them to start feeding. Thanks.

Cicadas. As most people know that keep copperheads, WC contortrix and sometimes snakes that are CB will randomly stop feeding in the summer and will only feed on cicadas. Also try frog scented mice or just frogs as well as skinks.

And the sign says "No long hair freaky people need not apply." So I put my hair under my hat and I went in to ask him why. He said you look like a fine outstanding young man I think you'll do. So I took off my hat I said "Imagine that Huh Me working for you."-Tesla

Haven't we warned you about tampering with the structure of a chaotic system?

So you can only feed them every 17 years?

I don't know about other areas of the US, but we have cicadas every year down here in Texas.
