Underweight

Schmuck Jun 19, 2003 04:46 PM

My little leo was infected with parasites and stopped eating for a while and dropped a lot of weight. I took her to the vet and she is fine now, eating everyday as many crickets as she can handle. The only problem is she is keeping the same weight. None of my local shops have butter worms and she isn't big enough to consume a pinky, so anyone have any suggestions?

what gutload diet are you using for your crix.
try feeding her mealies i find them to be easier to gutload.

a good healthy gutload will ensure your leo puts on weight and gets back to form..

i may be wrong and you are already gutloading your crix well.

You can try some wax worms, but be carefull they you don't get your leo addicted, they love the little things, but they are really high in fat, so it will put some weight on them.

When my leo, Beanie, had nematodes she did not lose weight but did not gain any. She stayed at 40 grams for two months!!!! After she was cured she started gaining weight like a pro. Are you sure your leo is totally cured? Get another fecal done in case....it sounds alot like what my leo had.
