I've read a lot that lists pygmy rattlers among the most toxic, while saying that at the same time that, generally speaking, they don't carry enough venom to kill a healthy adult. I'm not asking about the chances of riding out a bite(wouldn't try it), my question is this-Does the higher "equivalent amount" toxicity cause more localized tissue damage than, say, a mild to moderate bite from a diamondback?(especially of comparable size)
I just got curious as to whether anyone else has wondered about this enough to actually compare bite statistics.
