All the Same Wherever You Go............

It seems no matter what forum you read there is someoes that doesn't do their homework before purchasing a pet, even the simpelist homework, like the type of bedding, it seems they get the animal, put it in a cage they think is ok or feed it with substrate of pine or other material harmful to ingestion, then ask questions. If your new then do your homework instead of getting an animal and then going to a forum and in capitol letters saying HHHHEEELPPP NEEDD HELP!!!! This is why i get ticked, I had to learn just the same way, but some don't feel the need to and wait until there is a question and the animal suffers before they know somethings wrong. One can't know everything but the basic setup and starting of any animal should be known before hand of getting one. I will probably have this topic tossed, but it is a general dicussion and can pertain to any kind of animal owner on forums or your neighbors or those on the news. What do you think??:

You just hit my major sore spot. I totally agree with you. I have posted this sort of comment before & everyone always tells me to "be nice, you were once like them!" To which I reply...like hell! I made sure I knew waht I was doing before I ever shelled out any money on an animal. The only exception was a nile monitor I adopted from my dumba- - younger brother who decided he was bored with it. I kept that big boy for years & he was one of my favorites...never bit anyone! I sure learned how to take care of him quickly by using the internet & asking people at shows who had monitors. The only thing that will piss me off more is when someone posts a "help" type post for a sick animal & then 2 days later posts "how do you breed ____" or "look at my NEW _____". If you don't know how to take care of them, you should be trying to breed them or buy more of them!

WOW! Yep, now you be nice! OK i am as i am not cursing and they live miles away from me lol... Some are teenageers that are living with their parents or even younger kids and owning a pet goes to the parents who are sometimes afraid of them and another vet bill on the way also. If a child who is living at home should be allowed to own a pet, at least one or more of the family members should take an interest in the animal, if everyone evacuates the house and hides in closets, then it's all down hill from there especiall if a snake or sorts escapes, then that is certain death. We all as children wanted, wanted, and didn't see what was so hard about it all of having an animal. SO i shall speak my mind in many forums i go to and all you can do is kick me off, the truth, stinks, thats why you don't see soilders holding children of the war. All you see is the bad ugly truth of torture, never the bitter sweet side of war. Same difference here. So be nice and let me hear from all of you out there of what you've reponded to and the reaction you get for being honest?? Professional breeder or beginner, we are all learning and discovering what works best that is if we're into listening what others have to say. Just some of these question on what shedding looks like and "i fed my snake in the enclosure and pine shaving stick to him and he eats them." shouldn't even exsist.
