QUESTION FOR JEREMY CARROLL

jojay327 Jun 18, 2004 11:51 AM

I posted the topic gator laws and punishments. I do have in my hands a three foot or so american alligator(maybe a little smaller) I live in a state where I can't have them. I know I should not have took it but I could not bare to see it stay in a 55 gal. aquarium any longer. It is georgous and pretty calm as well, I spend tons of time with it. It was not caught in the wild, a reptile dealer goes to florida and brings them up for a certain individual who then sells them at high prices in my state. I want to keep it, however jail time or a felony could really damage my career. I can't really turn these guys in bacause they would know it was me(not a good idea) so I feel I am stuck. What are some options I might have. I will do almost anything to make sure the outcome is good for this animal. Please let me know . Jason
