Fimbriatus doing great

Riverratt Jun 18, 2004 12:13 PM

My Fimbriatus are doing spectacular. I never new they were so active during the day. I started feeding them at 10:00 a.m every other day and they just come alive. I will get pictures soon I promise, since I know I got a butt chewing coming lol. We are in the process of moving and have too gut our new dwelling (the other people were nasty!!!!). Thanks for all the help I got here. It helped making my decision on which Uroplatus to get at first. I find the Fimbriatus extremely easy to care for. I think another thing that is neat is that they defecate in the same spot like a leopard gecko. Makes cleaning the terrarium a breeze. Does anybody elses do this??

well, i dont have fimbriatus but i do have phantasticus and pietschmanni. i would have a pair of each species if i had the chance. i prefer feeding my animals at night, just basically to help them maintain their status as nocturnal creatures. sometimes im not going to be around at night and feed them in the daytime, but my phantasticus usually dont react. on the other hand, as long as they have room for a meal, my pietschmanni will go after crickets. my r. ciliatus will also react during the day as long as a meal is being offered and theres room in the belly.
