Taiwan Beauty snakes advice please.....

JackieP Jun 18, 2004 12:26 PM

Hi all

I have an adult pair of Taiwan Beauty snakes (Elaphe taeniura friesei). Both are healthy, parasite free and feeding well with the correct humidity, heat etc. However, their faeces are very smelly and loose. Is this normal? Any thoughts and advice from anyone will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Jackie

I have a Taiwan and all I can say is I feel your pain. Mine is the same way, loose (compared to any other snakes) and smelly beyond belief. I attribute it to their high metabolism and the their amazing appetite. Hopefully some one else will answer if this is not normal.
