2 More Questions about Scarlet Kingsnakes

snapasaurus Jun 18, 2004 12:46 PM

Can someone tell me how old is a wild Scarlet Kingsnake when it becomes independent and goes off on its own...and also how old is a Scarlet Kingsnake when it becomes an official "adult" snake?
Thanks!

As far as I know all snakes are on their own at birth or hatching. Some pythons brood eggs but that is where it ends.
Scarlet kings lay eggs and leave the eggs to hatch on their own. They usually take 2-3 years to reach adulthood.
