my beardie recently laid eggs and ever since then she isnt eating. Is this normal? She has always eaten well but now she isnt interested. Is there anything i can do to get her eating again or should i just leave her alone for a while??Im worried she wont get the calcium back in her body that she needs

Have you tried anything new that she doesn't usually eat? Like if she usually eats crickets, you could order her some slikworms or something - maybe even a pinkie -this might get her interested again.

Well i have tried her with crickets, king mealworms and various salads and she isnt really bothered.

(pinkies are not the best food source and I do not recomend them ever.)it is nt normal to refuse food after laying. when my females lay they go back into their cage and always eat a big meal right away. They need to build that fat supply back up fast as they can lay again in just 30 days time. If they dont put the weight on soon they can get very weak and die. make sure you do not put her with a male at this time until she puts some weight on.

This is another reason why it is so important the female be of good size before breeding, to ive her the extra edge if she needs it like yours does.

how old is your female?
has she bred before?
how big is she?
how much did she weigh before she was gravid?
are you sure se laid ALL her eggs and does not have a few left?

keep her hydrated and good luck.
