I have had 2 medium rats die in the same cage in the last week. First was a female and now a male. Same cage. They look 'normal' to me however dead. I 'think' one of the medium females looks pegnant. No sure though. This is my first rat breeding.

What do you think caused the 2 dead rats. Could a preg. female kill them for some reason. Thanks.

Are they munched up? No rat is gonna kill them without leaving obvious marks. If they just dropped dead, I would suspect a virus.

Haven't we warned you about tampering with the structure of a chaotic system?

What are the temps in the cages you're keeping them in? Too much heat can kill them.
