nikon coolpix 3700, my dad got it for me for my birthday, i guess it retails for ~$300, but im sure if you do some searching online you can find better prices. downsides of the camera: i like to use it for closeups of insects and animals, but it automatically focuses on what it thinks youre taking a picture of, which isnt that great when you try to get closeups of tiny stuff hiding in twigs and branches. it has the capability of making videos, but the downside to that is that if there isnt any sound or you want it to be quiet, you can hear the clicking of the shutter in your movies. just so you know.
