Can't really help because we've raised our albino indoors but I do know that albinos of other species have trouble dealing with alot of direct, unfiltered sunlight. Maybe the St. Pierres could offer some advice? I can say that we've seen vision impairment in a good percentage of the albino Blues, which is also typical in albinism. Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

I have no data on this and not all albinos have vision problems. I think Phil's albino has good vision and I've seen others with no impairment, but ours and a few others that I know of do have problems. Our little boy had trouble from the start, evident at 6 weeks of age. He had trouble catching crickets and other live food items. It would be interesting if we could poll a bunch of people that have raised albino animals and see if they've had vision problems. Almost every albino Iguana that I've seen has been affected.
Well... Anything that is albino is more sensitive to light... I wonder if there could be a way to filter the light a bit?

Shade cloth, maybe, like they use on the fern farms?
Just a thought...
