what is everybody's feeding schedules?

snakeylo Jun 18, 2004 11:10 PM

I was wondering who is feeding what size prey items to their bloods and how often? Personally I feed weekly(the same day I clean rat cages) and I feed as much as my animals will eat. I don't always have to feed every week if the previous meal was big. I don't do this with my Burms though

Hey,
I have my juvies on a weekly schedule and I feed them medium to large mice, depending on what I have available at the time. I breed my own mice so therefore, the supply and demand do not always agree with one another at times. I try feeding all juvies at the same time, unless one and rarely more, are in shed at the same time, which can throw the schedule off.

The adults get fed every two weeks, with the occasional 3 week feeding period, however, rarely such is the case. I keep pretty consistent dates and feeding regimens with all charges and thus keep a thorough record of every feeding date, including refusals, which are rare, unless a snake is in shed.

Adults are fed jumbo rats.
