Baby letargic

Icefire Jun 18, 2004 11:15 PM

One of the 5 babies I got is always sleeping,
even in the day. She barely eat 1-2 crickets a day/2day.
we drip water on her mouth everyday
her body seem very soft, maleable, she almost looks like dead
sometimes...
she got uvs, powdered calcium/vits crix, fresh water on paper towel.

any idea?

If the temps are where they should be at 100 - 105 and high 80's to 90 in the rest of tank then

I would think maybe parasites, (worms) if she was wc OR her parents were recent wild caights.

Ask Paul M about that.

Well one is dead (today) another is letargic, not eating/moving/drinking
only sleeping.
Temps are okay. it's suposed to be Captive breed.

I sent 4 mail to Paul, no reply yet, maybe busy.

I guess the other one will die, even if I drop water on her nose
nothing.

2 others have shed and grew up, the other one did grew up too, but no apparent sheeding.

oh i am so sorry for your loss. have you taken them to the vet? are they all separated? you need to take the sick one to see if it has something the rest of them can get because it would be terrible to have 5 dead lizards.

I would seperate the weaker one, make sure she gets more food and does nto have to compete with the stronger ones. Keep her warm and plenty of water.

I sure hope this other little one makes it, I will say a critter prayer, mine were answered.

Let us know how the baby is !

Sorry about your loss, but I do not think that Paul is the guy that would give you a bad collared. One of mine two seemed to be getting slim and dominted by the other but i fixed it. this migh work but, I seperated them all during feeding. This made the smaller time to relax and realize that all the crix are for her. After about a week, the smaller got stronger and is just as big as the largest. They still like to chase each other but both are doing great. I hope that your weak one will find its strength. Hope its a success,
