Medical advice needed for my uromastyx

vento Jun 18, 2004 11:22 PM

I've had my lizard for over two years and he's recently developed bumps on his back that look like blood blisters! Has anyone heard of this or have any recomendations for treatment??
Please help!

When in doubt, go to the vet. There's seldom anything anyone can do on here about medical problems except maybe recommend a good herp vet in your area. Sorry I can't help you more than that.

There is a thing called blister disease which is dangerous and can be deadly. No telling if this is what it is, but I would take him to the vet *immediately* and sanitize the tank. Also check to be certain it can't be a thermal burn from a heat light or the inside of a hiding cave under a basking light.

Good luck! I hope it's nothing serious!!
