OK, now you are just rubbing it in. The nearest petco around here I would buy dogfood from. Their cages always seem to be dirty. One time they had a tank full of fish that looked to be on their last fin. I don't know if they have cleaned up their act, one can only hope. I just don't know how they were able to get a good deal on these little hotties. Some petcos are better than others, I guess it depends on the person running it. Good luck with your new geckos.
Ya they are a little gems....lol
Hey did you guys hear about the petco law suit? They got sued for having horrible cages and for pricing problems. They had to fork out a lot of bucks to fix all the cages and retrain every employee. Serves 'em right!
I've heard about that, but there are some petcos that are better than others. So far we haven't had any problems with our leos.

I don't even look at the geckos at the petstores near me. Petco is new and the closest, they charge $74.99 each for leopards. The keep them on sand, and never take out the mealworms, as there are pupates and beetles with them.
If I ever get babies from all our geckos I plan to just put and ad in the paper and see if I can get $15 each for them. (albino, jungle, tangerine, hypo). I have been lucky and bought all of mine for $15, the seller breeds in bulk and doens't raise prices based on looks.
Honestly the gecko classifieds are starting to look like the captive hatched ball python classifieds. People are asking crazy prices for something that has one extra dot, or one shade yellow lower than others. I think it is funny that people get carried away...jungle this, high yellow that, carrot tail etc. These guys are so easily produced that prices should plummet fast. Go to Daytona and you will see two geckos that look almost identical selling for $85 at one table and $800 at another. If what I see is what I get I don't need pay for the name of the person selling it to me. Not talking about buying a car, example a shoddy Kia.
