I take it you are using a digicam. If so, you can adjust the image size on the camera. Other then that, you will need some type of photo editing software to crop your pics or to just change the overall size with. I have always used Adobe Photoshop but it is quite expensive. I'm sure paint shop pro allows you to do this but I think it is somewhat expensive too. You might search google for something, surely there is a freeware program that will give you this ability if your camera didn't come with something sufficient.

I've used Paint Shop Pro to manage/edit my photo work for some time now and find it quite adequate for all my needs (including resizing photos, cropping, and inhancing). The good news...it's really not THAT expensive. You can find it on sale for around $80. Not too bad for a photo program considered by many to be one of the best (not as good as Adobe Photo Shop, but much less complicated to use).
