Sick Corns

rugha Jun 19, 2004 08:54 AM

Hello all,

I have two corns that are exhibiting the EXACT same problem. Both either refuse to eat or when they do, they regurge. Both have become skin and bone. Both crap out runny, runny, poop. One snake was a wild caught and the other was purchased. Both were healthy and have been so for a year or more. This just started in the last few months.

I don't have a vet nearby that is experieced with herps.

Can anyone point me to a website with suggestions, or provide them in this forum?

Thanks.

They probably need to be treated by a vet for internal parasites or something. I have heard that even if your vet is not experienced with herps he can have your snakes' poop sent out for a culture/inspection and tell you what they will need.
Both snakes living in the same cage? If not, I bet there was cross-contamination of some item(s)...The #1 argument for keeping snakes in their own setup ESPECIALLY if one is wild-caught.
If they are puking, don't even TRY to feed them until 8-10 days after their last regurge or you will do more harm than good. They will probably need to be treated if they are to survive.
