tegu2002 Jun 19, 2004 01:07 PM

Hi my corn snake just laid her second clutch for this year but I didn't no she was even gravid because she has been eating every week. The eggs are also very small and only a few of them look ok, do u think they will survive???? I have put them all in the incubator anyway.

I would keep the ones that look good seperate from the ones that don't. bad eggs will draw insects to them that you do not want near your good eggs. I normally keep all clutches seperate anyway, unless they were laid on the same exact day, because I beleive that clutches a few days apart will hatch at the same time regardless of readiness (just my thought and a topic for a different post)
But I would think if some of the eggs look good then they are good. Corn snake eggs are pretty easy to tell the good from the bad.
good luck

All the eggs were stuck together and as I said we didn't know she was gravid so we didn't actually see her laying them and they were probably a couple of hours old. So the good eggs went down abit but are now plumping up abit again after we put them in the incubator. One of the good eggs is under one of the bad ones. will this be a problem. Our corn snake has a tendency of laying her eggs in huge piles. There must of been about 12 eggs in this cutch but only 4 of them look ok. I do not brumate my corns.
