How to make python eat frozen food?

owen13 Jun 19, 2004 02:45 PM

I have a Ball Python who is taking in adult mice. I want to switch him to prekilled. What are some techniques?

Put him in a small tub with the dead mouse?

Shake the mouse around in his cage?
(I think this method might work considering he goes after my hand)

Are there any other methods for starting a Ball on prekilled?

Thanks
Owen

Hold the dead mouse in some tongs and move it by the balls head he should go for it.

This is what worked for me but I do not hear it much from others. Use smaller food items and start with a live and then follow immediateley with the WARM thawed.
