Sad white's???

herpheart13 Jun 19, 2004 03:36 PM

I have two White's tree frogs. I've had them for over a year. One of mine burries itself a lot, but turns bright green under the bedding so I think it likes it. The other used to be ennergetic, but lately it just sits on his tree or in his waterbowl and sleeps. When I put their ccrickets in, he doesn't even hardly notice them. And he's a dark shade of brown. The other is much more actice and sometimes is brown but turns bright green when I hold her which is weird because they're cage is warmer than the room. I think she just likes the attention. Anyway, the other guy just goes to sleep when I hold him. Is this normal? Or is he sick?? Thanks!!

I don't think it is normal. Why don't u set up a quaritine tank, with the all the housing needs. So then u can single out certain factors that are giving the frog it's behavior.

This is what my White's cage looks like. Could this be the problem? It is a 15 gallon high with Reptile peat dirt stuff on the bottom with moss on top. They have a big water dish that they can fully stretch out in. They have two false plants and a UVB light above them. I'm going to the store to get them some potho's soon. Is this an alright cage????
