Need help setting up 1.1 Childrens Pythons

mikelosey Jun 19, 2004 04:28 PM

Anybody out there have a surefire plan to set up a pair of Childrens pythons? Both are 2.5 years old and I have put them together. How big of an enclosure etc? Thanks in advance for the help.

Mine each live separately in 56qt sterilites....I would guess they are 20X15X15 maybe a bit longer. When I breed them I just put them both in the females. This worked for one and a half whole breeding seasons. So I am by no means experienced. They do use the whole tub when I give them a branch to climb. They actually climb a lot and tend to feed hanging as well. BTW, my Childrens are small too....couple feet each is all.

I kept the pair I used to keep in a vision 221 (I think 28" x 22" x 12" and they seemed to have more than enough room. They lived together year round and even bred without ever having to be cooled.
