ID a Gecko?

moorej7 Jun 19, 2004 08:58 PM

I saw a gecko this weekend that looked a lot like a mossy leaf tail gecko, but very odd eyes. Instead of having 1 vertical slit, it appeared to have several vertically oriented slits, kinda like a tree bark pattern. It was about 10-12 inches and had silver dollar (or larger) feet. Anyone have a guess what this could be?

Thanks,

Jerod

Sounds like Uroplatus fimbriatus commonly know as the Giant Leaf Tail Gecko.

Could be a Gargoyle gecko as well...

not likely to be a gargoyle if it has the obvious leaf tail.
