I think i already asked this but i just realized that if my snake was hatched on 11/22/03 then that would make him 7 months old right? Well hes on about 14 1/2 inches long. Isnt he to small or is this how snakes grow?

Depends on what kind of snake. Also, just because it is not growing as fast as what you may hear others reporting, that may be OK. Lots of herpers probably overfeed, which leads to rapid growth, but may not be the very best for the animal in the long run. If your snake is eating regularly, growing, and otherwise healthy, you are probably doing fine. Duffy

Eastern Chain Kingsnake
You can drive yourself crazy sometimes comparing the size of your snakes with others. You just never know if other snakes are overfed and the feeding history of your snake before you got it. I say, as long as you are feeding it an appropriate sized meal (equal to or 1.5 times the widest part of their body) once a week you're fine.

Sounds like it is growing at a very healthy rate. To my experience the average Chain King grows about a foot per year (if not power fed). There can be variation in this and in adult size as well. More northern examples do not get as large as chains from the southern end of the range. There can even be variation within a single litter.
As they said "if it eats and is healthy, dont worry about it."
